Astroyantrik ("Astroyantrik", "we", "us", "our") operates astroyantrik.com and the Astroyantrik mobile app (together, the "Platform"), offering Vedic astrology, numerology, palmistry (AI Hastagya), face analysis (Samudrik), Vastu, Panchang, Tarot and live consultations with astrologers and pandits. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, shared, stored and protected, and the rights you have over it.
By creating an account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. This policy is written to be consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable Indian law.
Name, email address, mobile number, and a hashed password when you register directly. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account name, email and profile picture from Google. We never see or store your Google password.
To generate a Kundli, Numerology report, Vastu analysis, Panchang, Prashna Chakra, Matching (Guna Milan), or Life Growth predictions, we collect date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (converted to coordinates via a geocoding service) — for yourself or for anyone else you generate a report for (e.g. a family member).
If you use AI Hastagya (palmistry) or Samudrik (face) Analysis, you upload photographs of your palm/back-of-hand or face. See Section 2 below for how these are specifically handled — they receive stricter protection than other data on the Platform.
Messages you exchange with astrologers/pandits in chat, and metadata for voice/video consultations (start/end time, duration, billing amount). Voice/video calls themselves are relayed in real time through our calling infrastructure provider and are not recorded or stored by Astroyantrik.
If you message our WhatsApp number (for Kundli generation, AI chat, or booking), we process those messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform to respond to you.
Transaction amount, order/payment ID, payment status, and wallet balance/cashback. We never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials — these are entered directly on our payment partner's secure page and are governed by their own privacy policy.
If you apply to join as an astrologer or pandit, we additionally collect professional details, experience, sample audio/photos, and — once onboarded — bank account details solely for paying out your consultation earnings/withdrawals.
IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, and approximate usage patterns, collected automatically via cookies and Google Analytics (see Section 6).
If you email or message our support, we keep that correspondence to resolve your query and for our records.
Photographs uploaded for Face (Samudrik) or Palm (Hastagya) Analysis are treated as sensitive and are handled with additional safeguards:
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your birth details or uploaded photographs for advertising targeting.
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (given when you sign up, submit a form, or upload a photograph for analysis), to perform our contract with you (delivering the service/report you paid for or requested), and, in limited cases, to comply with a legal obligation (e.g. maintaining payment records) or for our legitimate interest in keeping the Platform secure and functioning. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 9; this may limit your ability to use features that depend on that data.
We share the minimum data necessary with the following categories of service providers, each bound by their own security/privacy obligations, strictly to operate the Platform — never for their independent marketing use:

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or a valid request from a government/regulatory authority, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Astroyantrik, our users, or the public.
If an astrologer/pandit you consult needs to see relevant details (e.g. your Kundli, or the chat/call history of that specific consultation) to serve you, that is shared with them for that purpose only.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in (set as HTTP-only, secure, and SameSite-restricted so it can't be read by scripts or sent cross-site). We use Google Analytics (GA4) cookies to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns, and Google reCAPTCHA to block automated abuse on forms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but disabling the session cookie will prevent you from staying logged in.
We apply industry-standard safeguards, including: encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the Platform; passwords hashed (never stored in plain text); HTTP-only, secure, SameSite session cookies; rate-limiting on login, signup and OTP endpoints; strict admin-only access controls on internal tools; private, signed-URL-only storage for face/palm photographs; and signature verification on incoming payment and WhatsApp webhook events to block forged requests. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using practices appropriate to its sensitivity.

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above, and account holders must be 18+. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. Generating a Kundli or report for a minor (e.g. a parent creating their child's birth chart) is permitted and does not make the minor an account holder or data principal in their own right. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will take steps to close it.
Some of our service providers (see Section 5) may process or store data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, we rely on providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards for handling your data.
The Platform may link to third-party sites (e.g. our shop's product pages, blog references, social media). This Privacy Policy does not cover those sites — please review their own privacy policies separately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice on the Platform.
